About me
Hello! I am an Autistic parent of two PDA Autistic children. I am in my 19th year as an elementary music teacher, and earned a graduate certificate in Applied Educational Neuroscience from Butler University with Dr. Lori Desautels last year. My children's schools struggles brought me to volunteer for the Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint where I am the Book Study Coordinator, and I am also a founding member of End SaR-NJ (End Seclusion and Restraint NJ), and volunteer for PDA North America. My experiences supporting my sons has led me down a path to learn how to advocate and support note only their needs, but also my students'.
