About me
Jessica Bacon, PhD, is an Associate Professor of the Department of Teaching & Learning at Montclair State University. Dr. Bacon coordinates dual certification teacher-preperation programs in Elementary and Early Childhood Inclusive Education. With Susan Baglieri, she is the Co-founder of the Increasing Access to College Project and the Certificate of General Education Studies (CGES) program, which offer inclusive higher education opportunities to early adults with intellectual disability labels. Dr. Bacon's research is informed by disability studies, and she investigates various topics related to inclusive education through a critical and intersectional lens. Dr. Bacon has published in journals such as Journal of Teaching Disability Studies, Critical Education, YoungExceptional Children, Curriculum Inquiry, Disability & Society, and the International Journal of InclusiveEducation.
